Beyond makeup and skincare, the tools inside a model’s beauty bag are what keep everything in check. A small brush set with a blending brush, angled brush, and powder brush covers all my needs. Compact sponges are also helpful for blending cream products quickly. I keep them in a small case so they don’t pick up bacteria or spill powder all over the bag.
Oil-blotting sheets are lifesavers. They instantly remove excess shine without disturbing makeup. I also carry cotton swabs and makeup remover sticks for precision fixes, whether it’s eyeliner gone wrong or lipstick that smudged outside the lines.
Mini Fragrance and Refreshers
Being around people all day means staying fresh matters. I usually have a travel-sized rollerball fragrance or a solid perfume tin tucked away. They’re discreet and won’t spill in my bag. Deodorant wipes are another secret weapon. A quick swipe keeps me feeling clean and confident during long days.
Face mists also double as refreshers. One spritz revives makeup and soothes skin that’s been under studio lights or dry air conditioning for hours.
Hair Quick Fixes
Runway hair is often styled and restyled multiple times, which can leave it looking tired by the end of the day. To keep mine under control, I carry a mini hairbrush and a few elastics. A small can of dry shampoo is invaluable when I need volume or a refresh between shows. Bobby pins and a travel-size hairspray keep flyaways in check and ensure my hair looks intentional rather than messy.
